Mr. Zeppos Is the Founder and Group Managing Director of Resilience Guard and a two times winner of the BCI Global Business Continuity Awards – Manager of the Year 2012 & 2014.
He draws from more than 20 years of executive consulting experience on Business Resilience for global organizations, including Telecommunications, Finance, Technology, Government, International Policy Making and Olympic Games.
Throughout his career, he has been driven by a passion for excellence and innovation, impacting an organization's competitive advantage, as the leader of numerous ISO accreditations for a number of multinational companies and clients across Europe.
Further supporting the BCM industry, he actively participates in the BCI mentorship scheme, while being a member of the Judge's panel for the IRM Global Risk Management Awards since 2012 and the BCI Global Business Continuity Awards for 2013 and 2015.
Mr. Zeppos is an advocate for many social causes and a strong supporter of UNISDR activities towards enhancing organizational and community resilience across Europe and beyond.
He has studied Financial & Regional Growth, followed by a Business Administration Masters Degree and is based in Zug, Switzerland.
Mrs. Demrovsky collaborates with Resilience Guard, acting as our International Resilience Ambassador.
Mr. Karaferis joined Resilience Guard as a Junior Technology Vulnerability Analyst, specializing in multi-hazard risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering (2018) from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and an MSc in Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures (2020) from the same university. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Institute of Steel Structures in NTUA, writing his doctoral dissertation on the evaluation of seismic risk in energy facilities.
He is a Chartered Engineer since 2020 (member of the Technical Chamber of Greece). His research interest is mainly focused on seismic risk assessment and vulnerability analysis of critical industrial infrastructure and energy facilities, utilizing advanced modelling techniques and probabilistic methods.
He has participated in several research projects funded by the EU and the Greek National Agencies whereas his research work has been published in several peer-reviewed scientific journal and conference proceedings.
Mrs. Karaferi joined the Resilience Guard team as a Junior Natural Hazard Analyst, specializing in multi-hazard risk and resilience assessment.
She holds a degree in Civil Engineering (2019) from the National Technical University of Athens with a major in Structural Engineering and an MSc in Analysis and Design of Earthquake-Resistant Structures from the same university (2020). She has been a PhD candidate since 2020 in the assessment of environmental hazard risk in areas of cultural heritage.
She has been a Chartered Engineer since 2020 (member of the Technical Chamber of Greece). Her research interests are mainly focused on risk assessment of structures and networks under multiple environmental hazards, with an emphasis on urban risk analysis and loss evaluation.
She has participated in EU-funded and Greek National Agencies' research projects and published papers in international conferences.
Mrs. Gaines has worked as a Communications Specialist in a variety of capacities for large firms, smaller companies and also for NGOs.
Her native language is English, but she has also acquired language aptitude in Spanish, Italian and German. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she has been living in Europe for the past decade. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wiliams College in Massachusetts and a Master’s from Harvard University.
She currently resides in Switzerland, where she enjoys outdoor pursuits such as hiking, skiing, biking and snowshoeing.
At Resilience Guard, she hopes to increase brand exposure by providing a voice for the company across relevant social channels.
